Teboho Ntholeng, known as Dj Tebza – The Soul Provider recently released Pure Monateness 11 mixtape which is performing well on music streaming platforms with more than 40 000 downloads.
The 32-year-old music producer from Lenasia South Ext 4, releases Pure Monateness mixtapes monthly to promote his brand. He features different producers such as Enosoul, Chronical Deep, Cool Affair, V Soul, Russel Zuma, Dj Ganyani, BeatSoul and Colbert.
Dj Tebza began his music career in 2003 and hopes to unite the world through deep soulful house. He started pursuing Djying as a career after matric, since then, his stardom kept on getting bigger.
“In the beginning, my family was skeptical, however, they slowly accepted my chosen field of work after I started gaining popularity and recognition,” Dj Tebza to GLOBE POST.
With Amapiano dominating the music scene, Dj Tebza’s love for deep soulful house remains unfazed, he keeps the beats going and never follows trends.
From sharing the stage with the biggest Dj’s in the country, playing in a cruise ship to the Portuguese Island in Mozambique and embarking on an international tour, DJ Tebza has also experienced his own share of challenges.
“Due to the nature of my industry, recognition and relevance is our currency, if you are not relevant, you are not going to get gigs, and because of Amapiano there is always a new artist on demand,” he said.
On 28 May, he will be playing at Food by K in Hillside for the Ladies Wine and Dine just before his birthday tour running from 1 to 25 June. In July, he will be in Mpumalanga for his music tour.
