Since producing her first dress in 2016, talented fashion designer, Nolusindiso Patricia Mdoyana (44) has never looked backed.

The Lawley based designer told Globe Post: “My first ever dress came out beautiful, I was surprised because I had no formal design qualification. I then invested my time into learning more and enrolled for a free sewing course at Al-Iman Foundation which I completed in 2016.”

Mdoyana’s African aesthetic designs are attracting customers from all over Gauteng and beyond, especially those interested in African traditional attire.

She told added: “I believe my customers are drawn by the love I put into my designs, whenever they wear the clothes, they can feel the love and passion put into making them.”

Although loadshedding has had a negative impact on Mdoyana’s operations, she remains headstrong and looks forward to a brighter future.
