The Tamil Federation of Gauteng has expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the 2026 Children’s Eisteddfod, describing the event as a meaningful celebration of language, culture and community spirit.

In a message of appreciation, Tamil Federation of Gauteng Chairperson Kreasan Moodley thanked the Almighty, ascended masters, gurus, forefathers, adjudicators, administrators, operations volunteers, affiliates, stalwarts, vendors and service providers for their role in ensuring the smooth running of the programme.

The Tamil Eisteddfod, now in its 63rd year, continues to serve as an important cultural platform created through the vision and dedication of past generations. Moodley said the federation remained blessed to be part of this lasting legacy.
Despite challenges and setbacks, organisers, volunteers and participants worked together to deliver a successful programme. Moodley acknowledged the time, sacrifices and commitment made by everyone involved in making the 2026 Children’s Eisteddfod a memorable success.
The event highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting Thamizh language and culture among younger generations. It also provided a platform for children to showcase their talent, confidence and pride in their heritage.
Looking ahead, Moodley said preparations and discussions for the 2027 programme would begin soon, as the federation seeks to build on the success of this year’s event and strengthen collaborative efforts within the community.
“We need to start our preparations and discussions for 2027 now. We will be in touch regarding this and other exciting opportunities,” he said.
Moodley concluded his message by extending blessings to all families and thanking everyone for their continued support. “May you and your families always be blessed,” he said.
