In a heart-wrenching incident on Sunday evening, 1 October, officers from the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) responded to a fatal accident at the intersection of Golden Highway and Provincial Road in Finetown. According to JMPD spokesperson, Superintendant Xolani Fihla, the victims of this tragic accident were two female pedestrians, aged 9 and 11, who were struck by an unknown vehicle which did not stop to render aid or provide assistance after the collision.
