“Sameer has trained harder for this fight than any other. He is confident, strong and ready to take that win. We are going for a knockout,” says Sameer’s Mulla’s coach, Sherwin Poonan.

Lenasia South Boxing Academy’s Mulla will face KZN’s Andile Majozi at the Box Camp in Booysens tomorrow, Saturday, 15 July.

Mulla who recently dropped a division to a super bantam weight fighter told GLOBE POST:
“I’m really nervous about the fight because I had to drop weight to match my apponent. However, Nazeem, Sherwin and Uncle Deeren put enough effort and got me not just on weight but really fit and motivated for the fight. I’m ready, excited and make so much shukr to Allah for everything he has my way. ALHAMDULILAH. “

Mulla’s manager, Nazeem Kassam added: “As a boxing manager, it is my responsibility to find fights in his best interest to grow, make sure the pay is fair, and make sure all the steps are taken by Sameer to climb to the top and get him to where he needs to be. It’s always a proud moment to look back at where he started and where he is headed. Great things are coming for him.”

To ssupport Mulla, head to the Box Camp in Booysens tomorrow, amateur fights start at 1pm while pro fights start at 7pm.

Tickets start from R250.
