ESD invites Region G township entrepreneurs to Finetown’s funding and networking session
The Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) in the Gauteng Province, City of Joburg and Growing Gauteng Together 2023 invites all product manufacturers and suppliers of goods and services that operate in the township economy to an enterprise and supplier development open day to take place on Thursday, 30 March at the Finetown Multipurpose Centre.
On Thursady, 6 April, the same event will be held at the Lenasia South Civic Centre.
The open days aim to provide opportunities for funding, market access, supplier network and bulk buying networks to township entrepreneurs.
These open days also facilitate market access by connecting township-based entrepreneurs with private sector buyers and government procurement spending, accelerate the commercialisation of township entrepreneur goods and services through product testing, accreditation, certification and aggregation, develop a database of township entrepreneurs across all priority sectors to create a pipeline for government’s public procurement spending, collaborate to find sustainable solutions to address business development and growth associated challenges for township entrepreneurs and more.
Enterprise and Supplier Development in South Africa is aimed at making sure that companies, as far as possible, procure their goods and services from black-owned and managed businesses. Supplier Development has the aim of ensuring that companies procure from small, black-owned businesses, while Enterprise Development seeks to assist these companies to grow their businesses so that they can play a meaningful role in the economy.
