Deadline to change from Sassa card to Black Postbank card extended
The deadline for social grant beneficiaries to transition from the gold SASSA card to the black Postbank card has been extended to 20 March 2025. This decision comes in response to concerns raised by beneficiaries, ensuring they have ample time to complete the switch. The government is urging people to make the transition as soon as possible to avoid delays. After the deadline, those who haven’t swapped their cards will still receive payments but will need to visit a Post Office branch to access their funds. Additional support measures are being put in place to ensure a smooth transition for all.
