The countdown to the 2026 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations has begun, with the official timetable now available for matriculants across Gauteng and the country.The written examinations are scheduled to begin on Monday, 12 October 2026, with subjects being written at 09:00 and 14:00 on various days. The examination period will run through to Friday, 27 November 2026, while certain practical examinations are scheduled ahead of the written papers.
With the final preparations underway, matriculants are encouraged to use the remaining time wisely by revising consistently, working through past examination papers and identifying areas where they need additional support. Lotus School of Excellence principal, Mr Bangs Naidoo, shared the following advice with the Class of 2026:
“As the principal of Lotus School of Excellence, I wish to place on record my best wishes to those who are sitting for the 2026 NSC exams. My advice is to revise past papers and practise exercises for this year. Work daily on your past errors. Don’t leave any blanks. Answer your questions according to the mark allocation. Lastly, ensure you understand each question before you start answering. Good luck.”
