The Lenasia South Shotokan Karate Academy celebrated another successful milestone as its annual karate tournament returned bigger and better, drawing more than 100 participants from eight dojos.
Building on the success of its inaugural tournament last year, this year’s event showcased the growing popularity of karate in the community. The competition brought together athletes of different ages and skill levels in a day filled with discipline, sportsmanship and spirited competition.
Parents, participants and visitors praised the academy for its warm hospitality, excellent organisation and welcoming atmosphere, with many already expressing excitement about returning for next year’s tournament.
Sensei Ashok Chotoo, 6th Dan, thanked everyone who contributed to making the event a success.
“We are truly grateful to every dojo, participant, parent, official, volunteer and supporter who played a part in making this tournament such a memorable occasion. The positive feedback we received has been overwhelming, and it motivates us to continue growing karate in our community. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for an even bigger and better tournament next year,” said Chotoo.
The academy also announced that it is welcoming new members, with registrations now open for children aged five years and older.
With another successful tournament concluded, the Lenasia South Shotokan Karate Academy remains committed to developing young martial artists and promoting the values of respect, discipline and perseverance through karate.
