In the spirit of Women’s Month, GLOBE POST spotlights two exceptional women shaping children’s lives with their pioneering ‘Bringing change in children’s lives’ Kids Club in Lenasia South, Ext 4.

Esteemed Emmanuel Christian Fellowship Church (ECF) members – Simi Ramlakhan and Sister Iris Nadasen – are dedicating themselves to positive influence, fostering growth, and empowerment.

Every Friday, ECF opens its doors to eager young faces for the transformative journey led by Ramlakhan and Nadasen. This initiative embodies their commitment to holistic child development, blending spiritual teachings with education.

The program focuses on engagement and creative exploration, diverting children from the streets.

Simi told GLOBE POST: “Kids Club targets all age groups. We noticed that early dismissal on Fridays left kids wandering. We provide an afternoon of meaningful activities, integrating life skills and Bible teachings.”

Beyond education, the duo addresses physical needs.

Sponsors support with essential supplies such as food, stationery, toiletries, and clothing. Their dedication prevails even when sponsors falter, demonstrating unwavering commitment.

The impact reaches local youth, offering engagement within the church. Opportunities include media teams, administrative tasks, and Kids Club operations. This nurtures practical skills and instills responsibility.

Ramlakhan and Nadasen symbolize positive community change. Their dedication nurtures future leaders, sowing values and skills for a brighter, empowered future.

Through ‘Bringing change in children’s lives,’ they transform families, heralding a positive transformation for the community and beyond.
