The Young Men in Christ initiative, under the spiritual guidance of Apostle Rhoda Moodaley at Revival Centre Community Church (R3C), proudly hosts its 2nd Father & Son Camp, themed “Survivor: Breaking Free and Rising as Leaders.”

The life-changing weekend is set to take place on 28 November at the corner of Samuel & Sonickson Street in Ennerdale Extension 9, designed to restore, rebuild and revive men and boys, equipping them to reclaim their God-given identity and purpose.

The organisers told GLOBE POST: “This year, we are stepping out of bondage and stepping into destiny. The time for silence and shame is over. Real strength begins when men open up without fear of judgment.”

The initiative, known as Mighty Men of Warriors, is a purpose-driven movement dedicated to helping men walk boldly in their calling. Its mission is simple but powerful: saving lives and restoring hope, one man at a time. This year, participants will focus on breaking free from lies that have held men captive for too long, including feelings of unworthiness, isolation and fear of rejection.

“We declare that we are sons of God-chosen, loved, and called for a greater purpose,” the organizers affirmed.

The first Father & Son Camp left a lasting impression, with men sharing stories of pain and triumph, and moments of laughter and tears as they opened up about absent fathers and personal struggles. Prayer, encouragement, and brotherhood carried deep healing for many.

Every second Wednesday, Young Men in Christ mentors young men who have faced addiction, broken families, and life’s toughest battles, building men of purpose, faith and leadership.

South Africa continues to face one of the world’s highest rates of gender-based violence (GBV), which stems largely from broken masculinity. The organizers noted that “at the heart of this crisis is men who have lost their sense of identity, purpose, and responsibility. We believe that when men rise in integrity and leadership, GBV loses its grip.”

The camp also tackles the impact of drug and lolli houses in Ennerdale, with volunteers visiting affected families to pray, provide food, and offer hope. Many participants have expressed a desire to break free from addiction but lack safe spaces and support. The movement aims to replace destructive cycles with a kingdom-focused model that restores men completely. Grounded in Jeremiah 29:11, which says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, the camp reminds participants that men are called to lead with integrity, serve with love and walk in purpose.

“This event is not just about healing -it is about equipping fathers and sons to rise together and lead their families, communities and generations,” the organisers added.

The Mighty Men of Warriors initiative continues its work of restoring men, rebuilding families and reviving communities, one life at a time.
