This week, Globe Post Weekly Snapshot Issue 18 brings readers a mix of community concerns, positive local action, lifestyle content and upcoming events, keeping you connected to the stories shaping Lenasia and surrounding communities.

Pensioners in Lenasia South are urged to check their bank accounts after unexpected deductions linked to an alleged funeral policy scam raised concern among residents. The issue has sparked questions about how vulnerable community members are being affected and whether more people may have experienced similar deductions.

On a more positive note, Siyaphambili Projects brought warmth and companionship to residents at Andries Meyer Old Age Home, turning an ordinary luncheon into a meaningful moment of care and connection.

Community action is also in focus in Ennerdale, where road and service-delivery concerns are receiving attention through an operation aimed at tackling long-standing problems on the ground.

Issue 18 also introduces Taylor, Globe Post’s personal recipe lady, who will be sharing easy-to-follow dishes and proudly South African flavours with readers. Food lovers can look forward to simple favourites and local inspiration straight from Taylor’s kitchen. 🇿🇦

For local entertainment, boxing fans can also look ahead to Best of Both 2.0 at Khubas Lounge in Lenasia South on 26 September.

From important community warnings and service-delivery updates to inspiring local initiatives, recipes and events, this week’s Snapshot has something for everyone.

Local news. Real stories. Your community. Every week.
