A generous donation from Serame Tavern is helping to inspire the next generation of football talent after they donated 10 soccer balls and two mini goalposts to Pastor FC on Sunday, 12 July.
The donation, aimed at strengthening youth development through sport, was officially handed over to the Lawley 2-based football club, providing players and coaches with much-needed equipment to enhance their training sessions.
Speaking to GLOBE POST, Pastor FC coach, Sibonelo Mtshali said the donation is significant for the club and the community: “This donation means a lot because, as a club in a small township, we are being recognised.”
He added that the support goes beyond equipment and marks the beginning of a meaningful relationship between the club and the local business.
The new soccer balls and training equipment are expected to make a noticeable difference during training sessions, allowing players to sharpen their skills while encouraging discipline, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
Mtshali said: “Thank you to Serame Tavern. This is not just a sponsorship, but it is a partnership. I hope they continue spreading the love to other people as well. We hope they grow, because when they grow, it means Lawley grows.”
