This week, Globe Post Weekly Snapshot Issue 12 brings you the stories shaping conversations across our communities – from the ongoing sewage nightmare affecting a Hospital Hill resident and the transformation of Finetown’s dusty gravel roads into safer tarred routes, to the restoration of Midannerdale Station as part of PRASA’s Vereeniging line rehabilitation.

We also focus on community safety, as the newly established Business Against Crime Forum calls on residents, businesses and local leaders to work together through trained patrols, smarter security measures and stronger cooperation with police.

In the spirit of Mandela Day, residents are encouraged to give 67 minutes of their time to help renovate and paint the toilets at Maranata Hall in Finetown.

And because football brings the kasi together, we turn our attention to the FIFA World Cup 2026 final, where Argentina will face Spain in a blockbuster showdown. Share your jokes, predictions, reactions and football pictures with us.

Local news. Real stories. Your community. Every week.
