The Johannesburg Table Tennis Association (JTTA) is pleased to announce that a strong delegation will represent the association at the forthcoming South African Table Tennis Regional and Open, set to take place at the Ngoako Ramahlodi Sports Complex in Polokwane from 28 June to 8 July 2026.

The team has been selected from a number of affiliated clubs, namely Lenasia Table Tennis Club, Masters Table Tennis Club, Queens Titans Table Tennis Club, Bluefountains Table Tennis Club, Raiders Table Tennis Club, Watville Table Tennis Club and Hoërskool Randburg. These clubs have played a vital role in nurturing talent and preparing players for competition at national level.

The championships will commence with the Para and Masters tournaments from 28 June to 1 July 2026, followed by the Senior and Junior events from 2 July to 8 July 2026. The format allows players from various age groups and levels of experience to compete on a national stage.

The spokesperson for the Lenasia Table Tennis Association (LTTA) and Johannesburg Table Tennis Association (JTTA), Priya Ranchord, expressed pride in the athletes selected to represent both the club and the association. She noted that players ranging from the Under-11 division to the Masters category will be competing at the national championships.

“Our players carry with them not only their skill and dedication, but also the spirit of our community,” said Ranchod.

The association added that competing against players of varying strengths provides valuable experience and growth opportunities. Ranchord further commended the players for their courage and commitment to the sport, saying their willingness to compete at such a high level is an achievement in itself.

The association wished the team well for the tournament and said it looks forward to welcoming the players back and celebrating their efforts and achievements upon their return.
