Sporting talent continues to shine as Imaad Hattas has officially been selected to represent the Central Gauteng Pool Federation (CGPF) at the upcoming SA Juniors Pool Nationals taking place from 11 to 18 July.
Proud parents, Whasfie and Yasmeen Hattas, said that Imaad earned his place in the prestigious national tournament through hard work, discipline and dedication to the sport.
Speaking on his son’s achievement, Whasfie Hattas told GLOBE POST: “We are extremely proud of Imaad and all the hard work he has put into achieving this milestone. For Imaad, this championship isn’t just a competition; it’s an honour to represent his province and stand among the best young players in the country. His commitment, sportsmanship, and quiet determination have been an inspiration to those around him, both on and off the pool table.”
He also acknowledged the role played by Craig from Spears Academy, praising his mentorship and commitment, saying his guidance and mentorship have played a vital role in moulding Imaad and the rest of the youth of Lenasia South.
“A special thank you to GLOBE POST‘s Shirley Govender for consistently highlighting and uplifting the youth of Lenasia South through her newspaper coverage. Your support gives young people the recognition they deserve and inspires the wider community. We wish Imaad all the very best as he takes this exciting step. May he play with confidence, make lasting memories, and make us all proud!” he added.
