Players from the Lenasia Table Tennis Association (LTTA) recently participated in the Gauteng North Table Tennis tournament and players from the club who participated in the Johannesburg Table Tennis Association (JTTA) league were recognised at the awards Ceremony for their participation and performances during the 2025 season.

The Gauteng North Table Tennis 2026 Admin TTC Tournament took place on Saturday, 21 February 2026, featuring singles competitions in both the female and male divisions.
LTTA was represented in several age categories. In the Under-13 Boys division, Darshan Singh and Nikash Singh competed in the tournament.

In the Under-19 category, the association was represented by Diyanah Bibi Khan, Diyaan Nagardas, Manqoba Nyamate, Dharmil Nathoo Jeram, and Bimal Jivraj. Jivraj also competed in the Senior division and delivered an impressive performance, finishing second in the Under-19 Boys section.

In the Senior division, LTTA was represented by Priya Ranchod, Chetan Nathoo, Talhah Khan, Saad Khan, and Thuhin Thulsie, who all participated in the provincial tournament.

On Sunday, 1 March 2026, the Johannesburg Table Tennis Association (JTTA) hosted its 2025 Awards Ceremony, recognising players from the nine affiliated clubs who participated in the JTTA league competitions throughout the season. Certificates of acknowledgement were presented by South African Table Tennis Board President, Thabang Tsheiso.
Several LTTA members received certificates of acknowledgement in their respective categories.

In the Senior Women category, certificates were awarded to Danisha Patel, Sameera Maal, and Salma Sheik Hoosein.
In the Senior Men category, Chetan Nathoo received recognition.

In the Under-11 Boys category, Zayd Hoosen received a certificate.

In the Under-19 Boys category, certificates were awarded to Bimal Jivraj, Manqoba Nyamate, and Awande Zulu.

In the Under-15 Boys category, Diyaan Nagardas received recognition, while Diyanah Bibi Khan received acknowledgement in the Under-15 Girls category.

In the Under-13 Boys category, Faizaan Hoosen received a certificate.
In the Masters Men category, Samuel Ilori, Himal Devchand, and Anwar Suban were recognised.

The JTTA awards also highlighted the performances of players during the 2025 league season.

During Season 1, Lenasia A emerged as the Premier League Team Winners, while Lenasia D secured the Third League Team title. Individual honours included Chetan Nathoo, who finished first in the Premier League, Danisha Patel, who secured second place in the Premier League, and Bimal Jivraj, who finished second in the Third League.
In Season 2, Lenasia D continued their strong performances by winning the Second League Team title, while Bimal Jivraj secured first place in the Second League individual standings.

The recognition of players across junior, senior and masters categories reflects the depth of talent within the Lenasia Table Tennis Association. The association congratulates all players for their dedication and continued contribution to the growth of table tennis within the Lenasia community.
