The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) released the payment schedule for February social grants. Payments will be made on separate dates according to different categories ensuring a smooth process.

According to the statement:

  • Older Persons Grants will be the first to be paid, with payments starting on Tuesday, 03 February.
  • Disability Grants will follow a day later, with payments set for Wednesday, 04 February.
  • Children’s Grants, which include Child Support, Foster Care, and Care Dependency Grants, will be paid on Thursday, 05 February.

SASSA has also reminded beneficiaries to ensure that their banking details are up to date, especially those with multiple active bank accounts, to prevent any unnecessary payment delays.

The statement added: “Beneficiaries are encouraged to collect their grants at their convenience after the payment dates, as funds remain available in accounts and do not need to be withdrawn immediately.”

SASSA concluded: “Paying the right social grant, to the right person, at the right time and place.”
