On 10 September, learners from Lenasia South’s Beautiful Minds visited the Globe Post offices as part of their career day tour. Founded by Basheny Garach, the initiative takes students to various industries – from newsrooms and radio stations to police stations, medical centers, churches, and mosques -giving them a behind-the-scenes look at different professions and places of worship.
Garach explained the purpose of the visits: “I want learners to appreciate every profession, understand that no job is too small, and be inspired to dream big while exploring their future careers. At Beautiful Minds, we promote equality- our learners don’t see colour or gender barriers. Boys and girls share household chores equally. We aim to nurture a generation that respects all professionals, cultures, and traditions.”
During the Globe Post visit, the learners engaged with staff, asking questions and learning about daily operations in a fun and interactive way. They also shared their future career aspirations and what motivated them to pursue those paths, gaining inspiration and practical insight for the journey ahead.
