Preparations are underway for the upcoming Women’s Spiritual Camp, scheduled for 10–12 October. This special gathering is dedicated to women whose husbands or partners are serving long-term prison sentences.
For many, life has been marked by rejection, abuse, and the silent pain of “doing time” alongside their loved ones.
Hosted by Love & Hope Rising Outreach, the camp is designed to be a place of healing and restoration. Over the years, the ministry has worked with men inside prison, but now attention turns to the women left behind – often the most broken and hurting. Through times of prayer, teaching, and fellowship, participants will be given the opportunity to release their burdens and encounter the comfort of Christ.
Pastor Jayshree, founder of the outreach, explains the heart behind this mission: “These women carry deep wounds that are rarely seen or spoken about. Our desire is to pour the Agape love of Christ into their lives, helping them find true healing and hope in Him. This camp is about reminding them that they are not forgotten, but deeply loved by God.”
In order to make the camp possible, no costs are asked of the women attending. Accommodation, meals, and all essentials will be freely provided. Support from individuals, churches, and ministries is therefore vital to cover venue expenses and supplies.
Toiletries and everyday items such as toothbrushes, toiletry bags, soap, shampoo, lotion, tissues, lip balm, and bottled water are among the needs still outstanding for the forty women expected.
Any contribution – whether a single item, financial gift, or prayer- will make a meaningful difference. This camp is more than a weekend away. It is a lifeline of hope, healing and love. By standing together, the body of Christ can truly be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who need it most.
