In the true spirit of Mandela Month, Letsheng Mall in Lakeside, extended a hand of compassion to Thuli Home by donating essential items including blankets, bedding, a washing machine and washing powder on Thursday, 31 July.

As part of the outreach, Alma Clinic, a tenant at Letsheng Mall, joined the initiative and provided free health screenings to residents of Thuli Home on the day.

Established in 2025, Thuli Home is a residential care facility for individuals with severe mental disabilities. The home currently supports over 50 male residents, offering them basic care, rehabilitation and a safe environment.

Quoting the words of Nelson Mandela, “It is in your hands to create a better world for all who live in it,” Letsheng Mall owner, Luca Altini said. “This quote encapsulates the spirit of Mandela Day, and it’s a value we live by at Letsheng Mall. Giving back to the same community that supports us is both a duty and a privilege,” Altini added.

Letsheng Mall remains committed to uplifting the Orange Farm community through continued acts of goodwill and support.
