Lawley-based entertainment company, BC Entertainment (Born Creative Entertainment), has received a prestigious award for community empowerment recognising their impactful work in youth development, talent grooming and charity outreach.
Founded in 2013 by Bongani Chuta, the company has grown into a vibrant hub of creativity, offering music, movies, events and even fitness programmes.
In 2017, BC Entertainment signed their first artist, Nelly Muchequete and has since been a launchpad for young local talent. Beyond entertainment, the organisation runs a charity initiative that donates school shoes and uniforms to underprivileged children helping them walk tall into the future.
The award was presented on 14 June in Lawley during the Sihle Mtshali Awards, hosted by the Sihle Mtshali Foundation .
“We’re really happy to receive this award. It shows the community sees and values our work. We started this with no expectation of rewards only the goal of building a better community,” said Mashudu Zondo, assistant coordinator.
Located in Lawley Ext 2, Kokotela, BC Entertainment continues to inspire hope and transformation, one young person at a time.
