On the morning of 9 April, Lotus School of Excellence took to the streets in a powerful show of solidarity, demanding justice for learners who have suffered sexual abuse.
With placards held high and voices united, both learners and teachers staged a peaceful protest outside the school gates, calling for urgent action in the delayed prosecution of those accused of sexually abusing two seven-year-old learners -Cwecwe and Alu.
The demonstration served not only as a plea for justice but also as a firm stand against gender-based violence (GBV) and all forms of violence against children. Their message was loud and clear: “No to rape” and “Justice for Cwecwe” “Justice for Alu” “Justice for all”.
