Fifteen-year-old Livahn Moodley, a Grade 10 pupil at Lotus School of Excellence, is making waves both in academics and sports. He has secured a spot to represent Gauteng at the South African National Blackball Championship in Durban, KZN-your support is needed to help fund his journey!
His journey of excellence has seen him shine in multiple disciplines, proving his dedication and talent. In 2022, Livahn claimed the title of Grade 7 Johannesburg District and Gauteng Provincial Technology Olympiad Champion.
His academic brilliance continued in 2024 when he secured 1st place in the Grade 9 District Technology Quiz and emerged as the top Grade 9 performer. Beyond the classroom, Livahn is a passionate athlete. He is a Level 2 swimmer with Atlantis Swimming Club and a Gauteng Blackball Junior Pool Player. His prowess in blackball pool was on full display when he won the Under-15 Gauteng Blackball Singles Tournament, earning his provincial colours.
Determined to push his limits, Livahn took on an even greater challenge this year, competing in the Under-23 Gauteng Blackball Pool Trials. His remarkable performance earned him a spot to represent Gauteng at the South African National Blackball Championship in Durban, KZN.
To support Livahn’s journey, Lotus School of Excellence will host an Eastern Extravaganza Concert on Saturday, 1 March. The event aims to raise funds for his participation in the national tournament and promises a night filled with top-tier entertainment.
