In a commendable display of corporate social responsibility, Pluxnet – a subsidiary of MBV IT – specializing in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services made a significant donation to Ithuba Lethu Secondary School in Finetown earlier today.

The generous contribution included chairs, solar panels, an inverter and batteries, aimed at enhancing the educational environment and infrastructure of the school. This initiative follows Pluxnet’s recent installation of CCTV cameras around the school premises, further demonstrating their commitment to community development.

During the handover ceremony, MBV IT Director – Mikovhe Mulaudzi, highlighted the company’s dedication to uplifting communities through their Social Responsibility Projects. She told GLOBE POST: “As we were expanding fiber connections in Finetown, we had the opportunity to engage with Ithuba Lethu Secondary School and learn about their needs. We were deeply moved by their story and felt compelled to offer our support.”

Pluxnet’s donation of 100 chairs, along with the CCTV system powered by solar energy to ensure continuous operation during power outages, underscores their commitment to addressing the school’s immediate requirements. Additionally, goodie bags were distributed to Grade 12 students as a gesture of solidarity with the Finetown community.

Expressing gratitude for the support received, Mr N Dhanda, the principal of Ithuba Lethu Secondary School, emphasized the significance of Pluxnet’s contribution. He said: “We are truly appreciative of the generosity shown by the Pluxnet company. Support for township schools is often limited, making this gesture all the more significant. Our students come from challenging backgrounds, yet they are determined to succeed. We look forward to maintaining our partnership with Pluxnet as we strive for excellence.”

Together, these entities are leveraging cutting-edge technology and expertise to provide unparalleled connectivity to homes and businesses across the region, exemplifying a commitment to advancing community welfare and development.
