Twenty-two-year-old model, Odwa Nyeke, hailing from Grasmere, Mountainview, has emerged as a finalist in the Miss Grand South Africa pageant, securing her place among the top 10 contestants with most votes.
As the pageant enters its public choice voting phase, Nyeke appeals to the community for their support in clinching the coveted crown.
In an interview with Globe Post, Nyeke expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and support she has received throughout her journey in the competition. She remarked, “Since the beginning of this amazing journey, I have received so much love. My fan base has grown, boosting my socials. The love and support I am getting is truly top-tier; it motivates me immensely and is shaping me into a woman of intellect and purpose. Nyeke’s educational background includes attending Sinekiwe Primary and matriculating from Finetown Secondary. Currently, she is pursuing a Diploma in Tourism Management at Ekurhuleni East TVET.
Miss Grand South Africa serves as the official preliminary pageant for the Miss Grand International pageant, with one winner selected annually to represent South Africa at the global event. Additionally, the winner has the privilege of representing the Miss Grand Organisation in their home state throughout their reign, accompanied by a prize package curated by the directors of Miss Grand South Africa.
