The City of Johannesburg’s Community Development – Arts, Culture and Heritage invites aspiring musicians in Region G to join its free music workshop which started at today, (Monday, 29 May) at the Finetown Multipurpose Centre and will run weekdays from 11am to 1pm until 15 June.
The workshop aims to equip upcoming musicians with valuable skills and knowledge, its program is uniquely structured. Three music facilitators who are experts on wind, strings and percussion instruments will share knowledge.
“In each session’s first hour, we will be covering the basic music theory, and after that, classes will be broken into different groups according to each instrument. At some point, participants will be merged and become one so that by the end of the training, we’ll have a showcase,” said Buhle Makhoba one of the organisers.
Organisers appeal to all musicians across Rgion G to apply for free for the workshop on this link https://bit.ly/3MzuEO7
