On the evening of Sunday, 1 April, a house in Ennerdale Ext 8 belonging to Ward 121’s Ward Committee member for Infrastructure, Toni Xaba, was completely gutted in fire resulting in her family losing everything.
Xaba pleads with community members to assist her rebuild her home, she told GLOBE POST: “The fire started in one of the bedrooms, we lost everything we had. We are grateful that no one was injured. I ask the community to assist us with donations for building materials, household items and clothes so that we can rebuild our home. Any donation will be highly appreciated.”
