DOTiNKfm is an internet café situated in one of Finetown’s busiest street – Phillip Ave – near the taxi rank. The cafe started in a back room and moved to a brick-and-mortar structure in 2021 and has been steadily growing ever since.

DOTiNKfm offers a range of services from internet connections to printing, photocopying and laminating amongst others.

Assistant manager Sindi Chauke, told GLOBE POST about what sets DotinkFm apart in this saturated market, she said: “We offer a unique experience to our customers and try by all means to be as quick and efficient as possible when attending to our customers. We know that some people only have a chance to use our services in the morning, hence we open at 07.30am.”

The business offers discount to pupils and free consultation to anyone seeking clarity on any internet related issues.

Like most small businesses in the area, DOTiNKfm also faces a number of challenges.

“Loadshedding is hitting us badly, we had to buy a generator to make sure business keeps running. However the costs of petrol to run generator are too much,” Chauke added.

The business currently has five part-time workers and praises itself for the positive role it plays in the township.

“We thank the Finetown community for the consistent support, we are where we are because of you,” Chauke concluded.
