JDA appoints new board

The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA), the infrastructure development arm of the City of Johannesburg appointed a new board at the 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the Roodepoort Theatre earlier this month.

The JDA oversees the implementation and as well of the spend of infrastructure projects, it has huge implications in that the biggest spending items in the City of Johannesburg are well-managed.

The new board will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to strengthen the strategic direction in managing capital expenditure projects and the vision of building a better city.

In the meeting, all City of Johannesburg entities presented their directors, social and ethics committees reports, the annual financial statements and the audit committee reports for the year ended 30 June 2022.

In the AGM, Daliwe Oliphant was appointed, the Chairperson of the JDA Board.

The non-executive directors appointed in the same meeting are:

  • Mally Hilda Mokoena;
  • Mongezi Ntanga;
  • Morwesi Ramonyai Thonga;
  • Nandhipha Beauty Zonela;
  • Bruce Lerato Sarela;
  • Masiba Mojapelo;
  • Pinkie Zanele Numa;
  • Vukile Hamilton Hlongwa;
  • Justice Makoko Makgonye; and
  • Siyabonga Masiza

Proceedings at the AGM also saw the appointment of the following Independent Audit Committee Members:

  • Sivuyile Mndawe;
  • Patrick Sydwell Lebopa; and
  • Tshepo Nawane
