Gauteng police have launched an investigation into a deadly shooting that left four men dead and another injured along the K43 road in Lenasia South on the morning of April 2, 2025.
According to a statement from the Office of the Provincial Commissioner of Gauteng, officers responded to a shooting complaint and discovered three vehicles riddled with bullet holes.
Four men were found dead at the scene, all suffering from gunshot wounds.
A fifth man suspected to be involved in the incident was found hiding in a toilet with bullet wounds and was arrested after police found a firearm in his possession with its serial number filed off.
He is currently receiving medical treatment under police guard.
SAPS spokesperson, Captain Tintswalo Sibeko told Globe Post: “One of the deceased was found lying in a trench with a firearm in the hand. The motive behind the shooting is currently unknown and investigations continue.”
