Abrahams family from Mountain View, Grasmere, is appealing for help after losing all their belongings in a tragic house fire.
The couple, a 55-year-old uncle and his 64-year-old wife, were asleep when the fire broke out. Fortunately, they escaped unharmed thanks to a passer-by who alerted them to the flames. However, the fire had already spread rapidly, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
“My uncle and aunt have lost everything they worked so hard for. They are heartbroken, but we are grateful they made it out alive. We just want to help them rebuild their lives,” shared a family member.
The family is currently being sheltered by a kind-hearted Samaritan in Mid-Ennerdale until they can secure a shack. They are in urgent need of assistance with food, clothing, shoes and household items such as furniture. Additionally, any donations of building materials would be a huge blessing to help them start afresh.
If you are able to assist in any way, please call 061 440 6356. Your kindness and support will be deeply appreciated as the family works to rebuild their lives from this devastating loss.
