Today, ActionSA’s Johannesburg caucus, along with the Provincial Leadership, officially welcomed Cllr Julia Sondag as a Proportional Representation (PR) Councillor in the City of Johannesburg.
Cllr Sondag, a dedicated servant of the Ennerdale community, has a proven track record of commitment and diligence in addressing local issues. Hailing from Ward 121, Sondag will now take on an expanded role overseeing multiple wards in Region G.
Her appointment is seen as a significant win for the residents of Johannesburg, particularly those in her region. ActionSA leadership emphasized that Cllr Sondag’s presence in council will ensure that the concerns of the community are given a strong voice and receive the attention they deserve.
The oath of office was administered by City of Johannesburg Speaker of Council, Cllr Nobuhle Mthembu. Cllr Sondag expressed her gratitude and reaffirmed her commitment to advocating for the needs of her constituents.
