As the vote counting continues, the Electoral Commission (IEC) has released the first batch of results from 2,648 completed Voting Districts (VDs) out of the total 23,293 VDs, representing 11.37% of the results.
Here’s a look at the top three parties and their standings both nationally and provincially:
National
- ANC: 42,83% – 414 292 votes
- DA: 25,56% – 247 280 votes
- EFF: 8,28% – 80 129 votes
Limpopo
- ANC: 67,09% – 30 937 votes
- DA: 12,61% – 5 815 votes
- EFF: 11,51% – 5 308 votes
North West
- ANC: 61,37% – 22 311 votes
- EFF: 14, 67 % – 5 332 votes
- DA: 12,55% – 4 563 votes
Gauteng
