Undisputed Boxing Academy is celebrating a string of achievements after its young fighters impressed at recent Johannesburg and Gauteng boxing championships.
Joshua Egbo delivered a strong performance at the Johannesburg Cadette and Junior Championships, displaying skill, discipline and determination in the ring.
His coach, Zaheer Hendricks, was in his corner throughout the competition, helping guide the young boxer through his bouts.
Following their strong showing at the Johannesburg championships, Joshua and Hendricks were selected to represent Gauteng at the Gauteng Championships.
Joshua again impressed, fighting with flair and confidence and making his academy proud with his performance.
Undisputed Boxing Academy was also represented by Taheer Miller at the Johannesburg Elite Championship.
Following a strong performance, Miller was selected to represent Johannesburg at the Gauteng Elite Championship, one of the toughest levels of competition on the provincial boxing calendar.
He competed with skill and determination as he looked to showcase the talent being developed at the Ennerdale academy.
The academy said the achievements reflected the commitment its boxers and coaches have put into their training.
The biggest recognition, however, came for Hendricks, who has been selected to represent Gauteng as a coach at the National Championships.
His selection marks an important milestone for both Hendricks and Undisputed Boxing Academy and recognises his work in developing local boxing talent.
“Coach Zaheer has poured everything into this gym and these athletes,” an academy spokesperson said. “To see him selected for Nationals is a proud moment for all of us. We are behind him all the way.”
Undisputed Boxing Academy said it remains committed to discipline, training and developing young people through sport, while giving local athletes opportunities to compete at provincial and national level.
