Get your smart evening dresses ready for the Daxina Senior Citizens’ Valentine Banquet to be held on Saturday, 10 February at the Lenasia South Civic Centre.
For only R200 each person, guests will be treated to 5-Star entertainment and a delicious 3-course meal.
Daxina Senior Citizens’ vice chairperson, Babz Harilall, told GLOBE POST: “This is an event not to be missed! It will be a night to remember. We urge community members to purchase tickets and join us as we appreciate, inspire and uplift the elderly residents.”
The organisers added that the event will be family-friendly with guarantees security and ample parking space. The meals to be served are strictly halaal and vegetarian options will also be available.
Meeting every Wednesday, Daxina Senior Citizens is a non-profit organisation providing a support network and a forum for elderly citizens to get together. The Banquet is one of its initiatives to raise much needed funds. The organisation also seeks sponsorship towards the event and its other programmes.
