Gauteng MEC for Education, Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Matome Chiloane, has announced that the 2025 Online Admission Applications deadline in Gauteng has been extended to the 14th of this month.

He has been providing an update on the 2025 Online Admissions applications for Grade 1 and Grade 8, at Kempton Park. The online applications were supposed to close on the 12 of August 2024. Chiloane has emphasized the importance of applicants having a valid proof of address.

“Gauteng public education system is a growing system and these numbers are demonstrated by the 11 991 more applications from the previous academic year. And we anticipate it to grow more because of the additional two day that we have added as parent’s complete applications. Since the deadline have been moved from the 14th, the deadline for submission of documents for parents to comply and have a complete application is the 21st of August by 12 noon,” said Chiloane.
