Members of the Eldorado Park SAPS followed up information where a case of pointing of firearm was opened and registered at Eldorado Park SAPS.
The members conducted an intensive crime Intelligence driven tracing up until they reached Mountan View Informal Settlement, where the alleged suspect was hiding.The alleged suspect was then searched after permission was granted, and a silver black Rossi firearm with a filed off serial number was found in his possession, fully loaded with 6 rounds.
Upon further searching, 12 more rounds were found in his right pocket. All in all 18 rounds, as well as 1 silver black Rossi firearm, was found in his possession.The alleged suspect was then arrested and detained at Eldorado Park SAPS for further investigation.
The Eldorado Park SAPS Station Commander Brigadier Maluleke is overwhelmed by the great job his members are doing in recovering firearms and ammunition in the Greater Eldorado Park,and further re-iterates that this is not the last.
