Home of Mother and Child appeals for public assistance to sustain their shelter

Home of Mother and Child (HOMAC), a non-profit organization in Ennerdale Ext 9 founded by the late Coreen Kirkman in 2005, strives to provide a loving home for motherless and homeless children.

Following Coreen’s passing, her daughter Bianca Nepaul and family have taken on the responsibility to carry forward this legacy. In collaboration with the Department of Social Development, Children’s Court and SAPS, HOMAC works to support children in need, offering a stable environment for orphaned, abandoned and abused children.

Their goal is to potentially reunite these children with their remaining relatives. Currently overseeing 14 girls and 9 boys, HOMAC relies on three professional caregivers, with Bianca serving as the house manager. The children attend public schools and depend on sponsors and donations for essentials such as groceries, toiletries, school uniforms, stationery and transport fees.

HOMAC urgently appeals to the public for any form of contribution or donation to sustain their home and continue caring for these children. For more information or to arrange a visit, please contact Bianca Nepaul at 084 291 3043 or via email at homac.sa@gmail.com.
