Futuristic Minds partners Phumlamqashi’s Sehlulamanye Projects to develop artists in the area

Lenasia South’s Futuristic Minds recently collaborated with Phumlamqashi’s Sehlulamanye Projects on a new community development project – Sehlulamanye Garden Village – to create a platform for an open market where artists can showcase their works for free on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The organisations invite artists to come and showcase their skills at the events where there will be live music and performances.

Sehlulamanye Projects’ Vusi Nkosi is a 60-year-old art veteran with vast experience in the industry, he has worked with the likes of Black Mambazo and Hugh Masikela and travelled to France, Paris and Germany.

Nkosi wants to give back to the community by teaching the youth how to use their God given talents and skills to create jobs.

“Our next event will be on 29 April, we invite artists, crafters and small businesses to join us, there will be space for stalls as well. We are on 6th Ave, up the road from Spaza Hardware or Golden Highway main road. We plead with businesses or individuals who to please help us with building materials and funds so that we grow the project.”

For info and donations, please contact Junaide Bacar on 067 405 9943 or Vusi Nkosi on 064 064 5665.
