On 13 September, members of the Siyathandwa Senior Social Club were treated to a memorable day at Tumanako Equine Therapy NPO.
The visit, filled with laughter, joy, and heartwarming moments, left seniors beaming with happiness.
Lavern van Rooyen, founder of Siyathandwa Senior Social Club, told GLOBE POST: “We are so grateful to Jolene and her family for welcoming us to their beautiful ranch. I started the club in January 2025 and was looking for a free outing for our seniors since we don’t receive any funding yet. Jolene generously opened her doors, and we even received some food sponsorship from Debonairs. It was truly a day to remember.”
Siyathandwa Senior Social Club, based at Ennerdale Temple Agape Assembly next to Shoprite, aims to provide seniors with opportunities for social interaction, fun, and meaningful experiences, fostering community and connection.
Thanks to the kindness of Tumanako Equine Therapy, the seniors experienced not just a day out, but moments of care, laughter, and companionship. Events like this highlight the power of community support and the importance of bringing joy to the lives of elderly members.
