Community service took centre stage for Face of Finetown finalists on Saturday, 12 September, when they joined the ECES Spring Flea Market in Ennerdale after being invited by Finetown Radio.
The finalists supported the event by donating sanitary pads and clothing, while also taking part in activities aimed at bringing residents and local organisations together.
During the day, the contestants met Miss Ennerdale title holders and had an opportunity to connect with other young women involved in community-focused pageantry.
The finalists also participated in a road parade in Volkswagen Polo GTI vehicles, adding excitement to what was a memorable day for the contestants.
Face of Finetown organiser Shantel Sibanda thanked Finetown Radio for inviting the finalists to be part of the community initiative.
“We would like to thank Finetown Radio for inviting Face of Finetown to support the ECES Spring Flea Market. It was a beautiful experience for our finalists, and we were proud to contribute sanitary pads and clothing. We want our contestants to understand that being part of Face of Finetown is not only about the crown, but also about giving back, supporting others and making a positive difference in the community,” said Sibanda.
The ECES Spring Flea Market brought together local stalls, food, entertainment and community activities in support of Ennerdale Combined Emergency Services and its work in the area.
