East Wave Radio, the Official Radio Partner, together with Gauteng Sanathan Mandir, is inviting the community to a spectacular fundraising evening in support of the restoration of the Gauteng Sanathan Mandir, situated at 268 Royal Park Drive, Mondeor, opposite the Mondeor Police Station.
The fundraiser aims to preserve the sacred place of worship where the community gathers throughout the year to celebrate important Hindu prayers, festivals and traditions. Satsang is held every Tuesday from 7pm to 8pm.
Guests can look forward to an unforgettable evening of entertainment featuring acclaimed local artists Oriental Nagara, Bhushan Dass and Divya Art of Dance, who promise to delight audiences with outstanding performances.
A special highlight of the evening will be the return of the Sari Queen Contest, proudly presented by East Wave Radio. Once a much-loved tradition, the competition celebrates the grace, beauty and elegance of the sari while reviving a cherished cultural event for a new generation.
Meals and refreshments will be on sale, and guests can also look forward to exciting prizes in the lucky draw.

The event will take place on 19 September 2026 at St Martin’s School Hall, 4 East Road, The Hill, Johannesburg South.
