An e-hailing driver was stabbed and robbed of his vehicle during a hijacking in Poseidon Street, Ennerdale.
SAPS said the incident occurred yesterday, 13 July, at approximately 12:30pm after the driver responded to a ride request and arrived at the pickup location, where three coloured male suspects entered the Nissan Almera: “As the driver was about to drive off, the suspect seated behind him grabbed him.”
The driver reportedly fought back, but another suspect sitting in the front passenger seat pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the right leg.
“The victim fought with the suspects but was overpowered, and the suspects drove off with the vehicle,” SAPS said.
The stolen vehicle was later recovered abandoned in Ennerdale Ext 5. No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
