A hijacked truck has been successfully recovered by the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) at the intersection of R553 and Broad Road in Finetown.
JMPD confirmed in a statement that the truck was hijacked in Orange Farm, acting swiftly on information received they traced the vehicle to Finetown, where it was found abandoned.
The recovered truck was later booked in at the South African Police Service (SAPS) Lenasia pound for further investigation and processing. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether any suspects have been arrested in connection with the hijacking.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement agencies as efforts continue to combat vehicle-related crimes in the area.
