September 11, 2025

The Lenasia South Shotokan Karate Dojo proudly showcased their skill and discipline at the prestigious Spartans Karate Tournament in Westonaria, returning home with an impressive collection of medals.

Every member of the team secured multiple podium finishes, a testament to their dedication, hard work, and passion for the art. A standout moment came when the dojo’s orange belt and above category clinched the coveted Best Kata of the Tournament, a remarkable achievement that set them apart from the competition.

Beyond the victories, the dojo continues to embody the true values of Shotokan karate – discipline, respect, confidence and perseverance.

Parents seeking a safe, structured and empowering activity for their children are invited to join the Lenasia South Shotokan Karate Dojo, where champions are nurtured both on and off the mat.

Chief Instructor Ashok Chotoo of the Lenasia South Shotokan Karate Academy (LSSKA) added: “I would also like to encourage preschools to reach out should they wish to introduce karate as a fun and healthy fitness program for their little ones.”
