At just 24, Shannon Leigh is carving out her place in Johannesburg’s vibrant film and television industry.
Fresh from her MultiChoice internship, she’s already left her mark – from working behind the scenes on the hit series Cobrizi to co-creating four original films through the MultiChoice Talent Factory.
A storyteller at heart and a production all-rounder by skill, Shannon thrives in the space where creativity meets logistics. She juggles the fast-paced demands of set life with precision and passion, ensuring every moving part aligns to bring stories to life.
Shannon told GLOBE POST: “I love producing because it allows me to bring ideas to life from the ground up. I thrive on connecting the creative with the practical – managing budgets, schedules and teams while still protecting the heart of the story. For me, producing is about solving problems in real time, creating opportunities for others to shine and knowing that every choice I make is shaping the final vision on screen. It’s like being the quiet architect of a world that the audience will step into.”
With her sharp coordination, deep cultural storytelling roots and an unwavering drive, Shannon Leigh is ready for her next big leap and the industry should be watching.
