A heartwarming evening of music, unity and purpose is set to take place on Saturday, 7 June at 6pm at Gandhi Hall, Lenasia.

The event, hosted by Entertainers 4 Purpose, is an Eastern Variety Show featuring some of Gauteng’s top artists – all performing for one reason: to raise funds for young Shakil’s life-saving heart surgery. Shakil, a brave young boy, urgently needs R7.2 million for a critical heart operation. His family, alongside the community, is appealing to the public, businesses, and sponsors to help turn this mission into a reality.

The concert not only promises unforgettable entertainment, but also serves as a beacon of compassion and solidarity. As part of the fundraising drive, the organisers are calling on 10 companies to each contribute R500 towards advertising for the concert. In return, the companies will have their logos prominently featured on the event’s promotional materials.

Businesses of all sizes are also encouraged to donate whatever they can. “Every donation counts and your support brings us one step closer to saving Shakil’s life. Let’s unite for Shakil’s cause and make a real difference,” the organisers shared.

Tickets to the show are R100, with an option to make a R200 donation instead. Community members are urged to come together for a night of joy and generosity – and help give Shakil a fighting chance.

For those interested in donating or sponsoring, can call Shakil’s mother, Raeesa on 082 798 0626.
