Who will be crowned Mr and Miss Ekasi_SA?

Kganya Development Projects will host Mr and Miss Ekasi_SA on 30 November at Mison Manor.

The pageant will feature 16 finalists from Region G, selected from numerous entries and promises to be a spectacular celebration of kasi culture and talent. Kganya has dedicated itself to tackling social challenges and finding sustainable solutions for the youth in the deep south of Johannesburg.

Recognising that academic success isn’t the only measure of potential, the NPO champions education while embracing other talents, such as sports and arts. This inclusive approach inspired the creation of the Mr and Miss Ekasi_SA pageant.

The competition aims to celebrate kasi pride, shining a spotlight on the immense talent often overlooked in underprivileged communities. These areas, often labelled as lacking opportunity, are home to vibrant creativity and potential.

Unlike traditional pageants with strict entry requirements and hefty financial commitments, Mr and Miss Ekasi_SA focuses on accessibility, ensuring that local youth have a platform to showcase their abilities.

“This year’s event, supported by generous local sponsors, is bigger and better than ever. Notable sponsors include Dumisani Jamile of Mexico Restaurants, The Truth Only Foundation, Migas Car Wash, Lebogang Voko of Fintetown Entertainment, and Zanele Victoria Mthimkhulu of Ekhishini. Their contributions have been instrumental in bringing the event to life,” the organisers told GLOBE POST.

Everyone is invited to come and support this event and cheer for the contestants.
