Pari Patel shines at international Archery tournament, bringing home bronze

Lenasia South’s very own rising star, Pari Patel, a talented Grade 9 learner, has proudly represented South Africa at the prestigious International Archery Tournament held in Namibia from 20 to 26 August.

This remarkable young archer discovered her passion for the sport at just six years old and has since displayed unwavering dedication and exceptional skill. Despite the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic – with the 2020 world tournament cancelled and no events in 2021 and 2022 – Pari never lost focus on her training.

Her hard work paid off at the Namibian tournament, where she impressively secured 3rd place in the Bulls Eye (BE) category, earning herself a bronze medal.

“The family extends their heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported Pari. We truly appreciate it and are so proud of her – she performed exceptionally well,” said Jitesh.

Team South Africa also performed admirably, taking home several honours:

– 2nd place in the Animal Round, winning a silver medal

– 3rd place in the Bulls Eye, claiming a bronze medal

– Overall, Team SA ranked 2nd, securing a silver medal

Pari’s journey continues to inspire, as she stands tall as a beacon of perseverance and excellence in the archery world.
